717 Armory | Fire Smoke Soot & Water Damage

717 Armory is a premier firearms and archery facility serving advanced gun enthusiasts to the first time shooter in Central Pennsylvania.

A spark from gunfire started a July blaze at a shooting range and gun shop in Swatara Township, authorities said. The spark landed on rubber, causing a fire to break out around 3 p.m. July 27 at 717 Armory on the 7500 block of Derry Street, according to Fran Chardo, Dauphin County district attorney. About 100 firefighters responded to the fire, which reached at least three alarms. Emergency crews from Dauphin, Cumberland, and Lebanon County worked the scene for several hours before getting the fire under control. Firefighters cut holes in the building’s roof to air out the smoke.
